Socialist International meeting
· Helsinki, Finland
Hawke attended a Socialist International meeting in Helsinki shortly before initiating his first challenge to Labor leader Bill Hayden. The participant list supports attendance during 26-27 May 1982; month precision is used because the source layout does not explicitly attach his individual name to either day.
