Ship’s surgeon on the Mayumba
· SS Mayumba, West African coast
After graduating, Doyle sailed as ship’s surgeon on the SS Mayumba on a voyage to the West African coast. Coordinates are a representative Gulf of Guinea point for the broadly documented West African coastal voyage, not a documented ship position.
