Burial in the Great Pyramid
· King's Chamber, Great Pyramid of Giza, Giza, Egypt

Wikimedia Commons · Creative Commons CC0 License · file Khufu was laid to rest in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid, the royal tomb at Giza built for him. This is the only defensibly documented physical-presence location identified in the surviving evidence reviewed; inscriptions and expeditions elsewhere name or depict him but do not directly establish that he personally travelled there. The precise year is conventional: the source dates Khufu c. 2589–2566 BC; the burial is placed at the end of that approximate reign. Coordinates identify the Great Pyramid, since a separately geocoded point for the interior chamber was not supplied.
