After formation of the Italian Social Republic, Mussolini took up residence in a Feltrinelli-family villa near Gargnano on Lake Garda. The biography says he was settled at Salò eleven days after the 12 September rescue; this card retains month precision because it does not separately date the move to the Gargnano villa.
